Birthday Party!

After going back to sleep for a few hours post-bridal shoot, I went to a neighbor's son's birthday party. There were cute kids galore and plenty of photo-ops. Here are a few from the party:









I'm still working on using available light while managing shadows....still a work in progress! Several sources have informed me that "no shadows = flat pictures"...so I'm trying to get shadows in my pictures without them overpowering my subjects. It is "uber-difficult" (imagine me saying that with an over-exaggerated French accent...that's the only way it works).

Speaking of French accents, my friends and I are having a French-themed movie night this weekend. You can look forward to pictures of berets, striped shirts and drawn-on mustaches!!
